Special VFX and visual effects: What is Different? | Arena Animation

Before we understand the difference between special VFX and visual effects, let us define both the concepts first.

What is VFX?

VFX stands for visual effects. It is used to create imagery, by manipulation for any film or moving media which is not possible to create in real shooting. VFX integrates the real footage or shot with the manipulated imagery to create realistic effects for the context.

What are special effects?

Special effects are a combined effort of a sequence of real time shots and orchestrated imagery to produce a sequence that is impossible to shoot in real life.

You can learn about VFX through various VFX training courses in Ahmedabad who help you understand the concept and also train you to create one.

Difference between special effects and VFX:

·         Special effects are called SFX and visual effects are termed as VFX

·         SFX are generally created or introduced at the time of the sequence being shot. But VFX are generally created after the sequence has already been shot.

·         SFX cost more than the cost of VFX.

So many institutes provide VFX training in Gandhinagar and other cities to the aspirants and some also provide placement assistance to the students.
